Job Search Attitudes - Employee or Skills Holder?

Previously on The Job Search Boot Camp Show we had special guest Brian Massey – the author of “The Market For Me:  Surviving Job Loss and Building Your Lifetime Career Network”.  Brian talked about how employees usually don’t usually anticipate an end to their current employment, and are often unprepared when their services are no longer needed.  However, “Skills Holders” fully expect to complete a number of transitions during the course of their lives as the value of their skills improve.  “Skills Holders” are always keeping up with the market and searching for new opportunities to sharpen their skills while being dedicated to their current employer.  But, they always know the basic fact about the job market which is – “One day this job will end, and I must be prepare my skills for my next job.”

Are you an employee, or are you a “Skills Holder“?
