legal in Israel

today my dh and dd and I all got big full 2 page Israeli visas plastered into our passports.  they were presented to us at the ministry of the interior today by a delightful bleach blonde Israeli woman with blue eye liner and a sweet smile.  besides the running back and forth to fill out all the missing paperwork (that no one tells you ever that you need to do) and running around the corner to get photos and then back finally it was all done.  we are legal in Israel for a year.

the other amazing thing about the ministry is how it is organized.  I think Israeli people must be visually spatially oriented because nothing is organized.  overflowing boxes, binders, ripped papers everywhere, and everything is quite dirty.  everything is numbered but not in a sequence.  I have been learning so much about brilliance and visual spatial organization as it is associated with gifted kids and my dd is highly visual spatial- it is a mistake to assume everything is out of place or disorderly.  it is a mistake to assume that there is not genius in what seems to other like a random placement of objects in space and time.

if Israeli’s are highly visual spatial what does this mean about how they see the world and run their country.

anyway, I am happy we are legal in Israel!  it feels good!  go see the photograph of the exterior of the ministry and our celebration breakfast at Kadosh!
